CLOCTIME – Focus Architecture for Deep Work
CLOCTIME is a privacy-focused Pomodoro extension built for Chromium-based browsers. It goes beyond a basic timer by actively reducing digital distractions through browser-level blocking and YouTube filtering.
High-Impact Results #
CLOCTIME has reached 100+ active users through organic developer interest and delivers zero-latency enforcement through a “Lock-In” mode designed to reduce mid-session drop-offs. It’s also privacy-native by design, running fully locally so productivity data stays on-device.
The Challenge #
Traditional Pomodoro tools depend on willpower. In practice, users are still exposed to infinite scroll, recommendation loops, and other algorithmic distractions that interrupt deep work.
The Solution #
I built a complete focus environment that reshapes browser behavior instead of only tracking time. It includes a hard-lock domain blocker that prevents access to distracting sites during focus sessions, YouTube DOM filtering that removes Shorts, comments, and recommendations, and automated workflows for break enforcement alongside localized productivity analytics.
The Result #
CLOCTIME helps users treat focus as the default state. By shifting from time-tracking to attention management, it creates a more distraction-resistant environment for deep work.
